The Miracles of Matcha

Matcha is something I have been loving for the past year or so.

It’s the powder version of green tea in its most natural and pure form. It’s full of antioxidants, helps to burn calories and is a natural detoxifier.  I make mine with almond milk and a teaspoon of honey with a little lemon juice and it actually tastes good.

It not only tastes good but is great for your skin.  It helps with inflammation, anti-aging and controlling oil.

I’ve recently started using it on my face in the form of a mask.  I mix mine with an Aloe Vera gel and water mixture.  To help with bacteria you can also mix with yogurt and/or a couple of drops of tea tree oil.  For those with dry skin mixing it with honey will boost moisture in the skin.

First, cleanse your skin and dry with a clean towel.  Apply the mask with clean

hands, makeup brush or cosmetic spatula.  I like the one made by ELF.

Let the mask dry, usually takes about 15 minutes.  Then use a warm wet cloth to remove and follow with any serums and moisturizer of your choice.

The day after results always leave my skin very soft and smooth.  I’ve started using this mask once a week and am very happy with the results.

Let me know if you decide to try matcha and how you use it.
