Hey guys! I was recently contacted by a company to review some of their homemade lip balms. I was super excited because I can’t deal with dry chapped lips. It’s not cute or sexy. I literally have lip balms in my room, my car, at my desk, and in almost every purse. It’s a beauty necessity so when the owner, Ashley, reached out to me on Instagram I was like HECK YEAH!
The name of the company is Cire d’Abeille. Click here to visit the web site. They have homemade and cruelty free lip balms in different flavors and whipped exfoliating body scrubs.
I was sent the Liquid Sunshine Mead Infused Lip Balm (with lemon, honey, lavender and tea) and the Maple Tap Lip Balm (with honey, maple syrup and spice). I was super excited when I got the package that I hastily cut the package open and accidentally cut a part of the business card she sent me. 🙁 But luckily everything was in tact!
My favorite scent/flavor is lemon so the Liquid Sunshine is the first one I tore into. It smells and tastes delectable! It glides on so smooth and gives long lasting moisture. I can feel the beeswax and shea butter, two moisturizers that work very well to hydrate long term. I didn’t even have to keep reapplying throughout the day, it lasted several hours even through me eating.
These lip balms are awesome, especially for those of us who wear lipstick which can dehydrate lips. I used the Liquid Sunshine after I exfoliated my lips at night right before bed. When I woke up the next day my lips were still super hydrated.
I also tried the maple tap for several days and it tastes just like maple syrup. YUM! It had the same formula and consistency with long lasting hydration.
These would make great gifts and stocking stuffers during the winter.
Show Cire d’Abeille some love! I promise you won’t regret it.
