My LA Makeup Haul: What I Got From Morphe

Hey guys!  My sister, our friend Velvet and myself recently took a trip to Los Angeles to celebrate me and my sis’ 33rd birthday.  While there I knew I was going to go makeup shopping.  It happens whenever I go to a big city.  LA has so many places I had to choose wisely.

Morphe is a brand I’ve been using for the past few years.  I use it on my clients and myself.  Their products are good quality with an inexpensive price tag.  I’ve always ordered online but they are based in LA, so of course I had to make a trip there while I was in town.  It’s in Burbank, which is about 20-30 minutes from downtown LA which is where we were staying.  There was literally nothing else in Burbank that interested me and my sister, just Morphe.  Velvet knows how much we love makeup so she was just along for the ride.

The brand is best known for their makeup brushes and large 35-pan eyeshadow palettes.  Recently they have added smaller eyeshadow palettes, concealer, lip gloss, matte liquid lipsticks, and setting spray to their inventory.  I was like a kid in a candy store.  I love being able to touch and feel makeup brushes before I purchase them.  I’m sure I have well over 100 makeup brushes between my personal ones and the ones I use on clients so I only got a few.

Here are the brushes I got:

The 2 on the outside are eyeshadow blending brushes that I love.  2nd from the left is a flat concealer brush, the 2 in the middle are flat powder brushes, and the 2nd from the right is an eyeshadow brush.  So far I’m loving all of them.  I use the 2 middle brushes to apply highlighter to my face.  I’m slightly obsessed with the blending brushes.  You can never have too many; I probably have at least 10 of them in my personal collection.

I also got this palette; it’s the 25B Bronzed Mocha palette.  I loooove it.  It has super neutral colors that are mattes and shimmers that are extremely pigmented.  The setting spray is new so I picked up 2.  It works ok but I was intrigued because it’s an aerosol spray instead of a traditional spray like most other setting sprays.  And it smells good.

Here’s a short tour of the store.  Hope you enjoy!
